What you are requesting

An initial remote assessment of potential concerns relating to two selected topics: wildfire, flooding, hillside/debris, or extreme heat. It is for existing single-family homes in Los Angeles County, with homeowner permission, for preparedness and planning.

We review available hazard information, public records, and information you choose to provide. Your summary will distinguish the source information, homeowner reports, unknowns, and questions needing physical verification. Topics you do not select are not assessed.

What you can expect

Submitting the form requests a review; it does not instantly generate a report. We will confirm the address and contact you if more information is needed. Delivery arrangements are handled by email.

What a remote assessment cannot establish

We do not inspect the home in person, test systems, verify hidden conditions, certify safety or code compliance, or predict how the home will perform in a disaster. Area-level information does not establish a specific building defect, and a location outside a mapped area does not establish that there is no risk.

The service does not include engineering design, drainage-capacity calculations, slope-stability or geological conclusions, structural opinions, repair specifications, insurance advice or placement, a real-estate Natural Hazard Disclosure, or a purchase/sale home inspection. It does not certify official defensible-space compliance or any third-party designation.

Who prepares it

Disaster Audit was founded by a software engineer. The initial remote service is a homeowner planning service; it is not presented as a licensed engineering, geological, contracting, or insurance service. A professional investigation or repair would require its own qualified provider, scope, and agreement.

Your choices

The initial assessment is free. No payment details or account are required. You may decline any later service and use a provider of your choice. We will not send your information to a professional for a referral without separate permission.

Active hazards

This service is not monitored for emergencies. For an active emergency, contact emergency services and follow official evacuation and safety directions. Do not wait for an assessment or enter an unsafe area to provide information.
